YOUTUBE & FACEBOOK COPYRIGHT CLAIMS
Youtube & Facebook uses recognition software that scans music in your video to see if you have used copyrighted material. We do not register our tracks in this system so if you have a claim; it is either a “false positive” (the software is wrong) or someone is trying to claim our music as theirs.
Please do the following:
- Contest the Claim with YouTube/Facebook. Do not remove your video. If you receive a warning from Facebook/Instagram telling that your video is muted because you may be using copyrighted content, please click on “Restore Audio”.
- When Youtube ask you for a reason check: “I have a license or written permission from the proper rights holder to use this material”.
- In the comments put a link where you have downloaded the track.
- Contact us with all the details about the claim: track title and composer name. This way we can do something from our side.
If using music on Facebook videos you cannot register videos to the Facebook Rights Manager Service. This is due to Facebook’s copyright protection software, it would keep other users from using the music too.
GENERAL
CREDITING THE COMPOSER: When using music in your content please ensure you credit this website and the composer.
REMIXES: If you wish to create a remix using one of our tracks you must credit the original track much like you would when using a track in other content. Please also send us the remix so we can hear your created work.
COMMISSIONED WORK: Bespoke music can be created for specific projects, please use the contact page in get in touch about this. Rates would vary depending on project size, availability etc.
MUSIC SUBMISSIONS: If you wish to submit your music to sell through our website then please use the contact page for deal negotiations.
PAYMENT
PAYMENT METHODS: Only debit/credit card and PayPal payments are accepted.
WHY HAS MY PAYMENT NOT BEEN ACCEPTED? We do not have control over the payment process, if your card is refused then try another or pay with a Paypal account.
HOW WILL MY PAYMENT APPEAR ON A BANK STATEMENT? If you choose the payment by Card the transaction will appear on your statement as “imakesounds.com”.
